What's happening at u16?

Hard to believe the u16G Silver season gets under way in a few short weeks...this will be a slightly changed Lakehill team as one of our players is away for a year and we have some new players joining us! Our coaching staff of VAL and BRUCE are back. The first few pre-season sessions have gone really good! Nice to see the returning players and the work effort!

We won't know how many teams we will face this season till after the LISA meeting on September 3rd, but we already know the competition is going to be very tough this season!
Early indications are that many of last seasons u15G Gold players and their teams are moving to Silver or up to u17 and there are only two u16 Gold teams declared: both from BaysU (including last seasons Silver team). That means the Gorge Silver team will be tough as the Gorge u16 Gold team has picked up a lot of Gold players from other teams and gone to u17!! Bays and Cowichan will be back to challenge at the top of the u16G-Silver chart. The big unknowns will be JdF, Peninsula and if PLSC will have a team or not. We expect Gordon head to be much improved... so till we know more we just have to work hard at our pre-season practices!
