Season's Greetings Players!

The LakeHill u16G Silvers gave Jules and their team supporters an early Xmas present! A 1-nil victory over Casey and the PLSC Lakers. PLSC dominated large stretches of the first half but the LakeHill defense played strong and the team capitalized on a goal scoring opportunity to leave the fast paced UVIC turf undefeated going into the winter break!

Green light for Turf at Braefoot!

Lakehill Soccer held a Club-wide meeting at Reynolds Secondary School to discuss the recently approved plans to install Artifical Turf at Braefoot Park! We'll be posting a list of volunteer positions we require to identify between now and February in order to plan out the next step. Based upon this we will decide to start this year or next with the implementation plan! Funding is going VERY well, the next step is identifying the correct resources!

Well done Brook! The team played a strong game to earn a resounding 5-nil drubbing of JdF on Nov.24th! That leaves PLSC as the sole opponent the LakeHill u16Gs have yet to get 3 points against!

At the Provincials!

Congratulations to LakeHill u16Gs' JulieW for her part in winning the Silver Medal at the recent Provincial 'AA' Field Hockey championship as part of the Lambrick High School team! Her Lakehill soccer team managed a narrow 2-1 win to remain undefeated this season in her absence but the soccer team did concede their first goal of the u16G season ...Coach Jules will be happy to have all his players back for the Nov.17th match!

Braefoot Park to get Artifical Turf

A special club AGM of the LakeHill membership is being held at REYNOLDS SECONDARY SCHOOL in the main gym starting at 7pm on Friday November 30th. Our plans to get a Turf field have been approved by the Saanich Council the next step depends on our membership. Your attendance at the Nov.30th meeting will help make this happen!

Due to the Thanksgiving tournament the u16G Silvers have two games this weekend, so a total of 6 points are possible! The weather will not be kind to us so come prepared! But with the threat of possible rain-outs just around the corner we would like to get both of these games played!

Brook 2 - PSC nil (or Team 2 - Chelsea nil against)

A physical game with the ref having to stop the action to allow teams to pick up bodies off of the cow pasture we call Braefoot#1. Jules' girls where missing a player or two but the LakeHill girls where determined to continue their winning ways in this years LISA u16G Silver action.

Brook opened the scoring and Brook closed the scoring. However she was not the only LakeHill player to come near the PSC net. There where a lot more opportunities in the PSC end than at the other side of the park! It was not always pretty to watch but you certainly deserved three points to remain undefeated in league action!

Saturday we played a great game vs PortMcNeil u17/8 and came away with a narrow but deserved 1-nil victory! Well done ladies! That's 5 points towards our Monday objective!

The tentative schedule has been posted to the (newly re-decorated) www.lakehillsoccer.com web site!

Two u16G teams are expected this season with a Silver and Bronze team being entered into league play. The roster for the Bronze team is still being finalized once it is, players will be notified.

The club has set aside the following dates and times for u16G practices:
